Get Involved

⦁ Pay dues.
⦁ Attend general membership biannual meetings, usually held in May & October.
⦁ Serve as an Association Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Technology Manager).
⦁ Serve on the board or as a street representative.
⦁ Keep up your property.
⦁ Join and participate in the neighborhood facebook group. Post news, comments, suggestions, complaints, etc.
⦁ Share your favorite books with others at the Little Free Library Exchange located at the intersection of Santuit Pond Road and Fawn Road.
⦁ Attend Town Meeting when the warrant includes articles relevant to SPEA.
⦁ Volunteer time and effort to beautify the neighborhood in the following locations:

Entry Sign:
-Cut lawn around sign and along street towards Beechwood Condo’s entrance.
-Clear leaves from drain at street.
-Maintain paint on sign and posts.
-Maintain / weed planter at sign.
-At intersection of Santuit Pond Road and Wakeby Road, clear leaves and fallen branches; trim bushes.

Beach Area:
-Repair beach bulletin board (new roofing shingles, replace rotted backing and stain wood).
-Remove fallen branches and overgrowth from beach parking area.
-Repair stairs / path leading from parking area to beach.
-Cleanup / rake beach area.
-Repair or Replace picnic tables.
-Cut lawn at parking area.
-Empty trash bin down by the water.

Ball field and Basketball-Tennis courts:
-Paint or power wash the backboard of the basketball hoop to remove graffiti
-Clear the leaves from the ball courts. Leaves may be dumped into the ravine alongside the path. that leads to courts on the field side.
-Trim growth around the perimeter of the field, especially where horseshoe pit will be built.
-Build horseshoe pit.
-Cut overhanging branches from ball courts.
-Clean up area around the sign at the ball field. Spread wood chips.
-Help create and maintain a pollinator garden area in the ball field.

95 Edgwater:
-Remove fallen branches.
-Add natural plantings.

General:
-Pick up trash throughout the neighborhood
-Clear leaves from top of street drains.
-Volunteers needed each Spring to plant flowers in the barrels where the signs have been installed asking neighbors and guest to slow down due to children in the area; we are also looking for these volunteers to maintain these planters throughout the year.
-Volunteers needed to clean up / maintain the three round cul-de-sac areas in the neighborhood: two at Edgewater Road and the third at Deerfoot Circle.
