Restore the Court

November 2022 UPDATE

We have court lines for basketball and tennis! We are SO excited! The backboards on the hoops will be repainted and the tennis net will be installed in the spring. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped support the restoration by paying current dues, back dues and/or by chipping in a bit extra to make this a reality!

July 2022 UPDATE

The court has been sealed and we are just waiting for the court lines to be completed and we will finally have a fully restored court!

April 2022 UPDATE

This winter’s debris has been cleared from the pavement and we are just waiting on Cape Curb Appeal to come back to resurface and paint the ball court lines for completion. It’s already looking so much better and we are so excited!

October 2021 UPDATE

Due to some unfortunate weather delays, the asphalt work on the court was delayed. Cape Curb Appeal has now started patching the most damaged areas and it is being left to cure. The resurfacing will now take place in early spring once the surface is ready.

August 2021 UPDATE

Both paths to the court have been cleared, overhanging branches have been cut, vines/growth on the fence removed, the court itself has been scraped, swept with a power sweeper and the debris removed. The court and 3 feet around the perimeter have been treated 3 times by a professional to kill the poison ivy and invasive vines. Cape Curb Appeal will begin the asphalt work in August (weather permitting). They anticipate completion of the court, culminating with the painting of the basketball key, to be the end of August.
We are so very excited to see the court finished and we’re sure you are as well!
As we get into this final stage we are asking those who “pledged” additional support to the court project and those who haven’t submitted their dues yet to please send in those funds via check or PayPal.

May 2021 UPDATE

Work to restore the ball court has started! It is going to be a process that we hope to have completed by the end of the year. We are asking everyone with outstanding balances to please submit your dues so that we can ensure completion of the ball court for the use and benefit of all.

THANK YOU to the 23 neighbors that caught up on back dues in 2020.

September 2020-PLEDGE CHALLENGE

Marcia M., a former neighborhood resident whose children and grandchildren still live in the neighborhood, has pledged $100 towards the restoration of the ball court if other neighbors join her so we can reach $7,000.

*Please note that based on dues participation the board will be using whatever funds we have available towards completing this project. Every dues payment submitted gets us closer and those who are willing to join the pledge campaign will only have their pledge called upon if between dues participation and pledges we get to $7,000*

If you would like to pledge please contact a board member or email [email protected]
